365 Project Jan. 28-Feb. 3 {Charlottesville, Va. Photographer}

I love living in Virginia. Specifically, I love living in Central Virginia–the mountains feed my soul, as corny as that sounds. One of the best things about this state is we usually get all four seasons. But this winter is non-existent. In January there were 8 days that were 60 degrees and above and Feb. 1 we saw 70 degrees! We’ve seen a few snow flakes this winter, but overall it’s the mildest winter I can remember–ever. I was all prepared for photo shoots in the snow with the dogs and the kids, but they haven’t been realized this year. There is always next year, right?

With the mild weather, I’ve definitely had the chance to get outside and take photos. I love it!

Skater silhouette

I was trying for a skater silhouette but the son was running behind so we didn't have the exact right light. It's on my to-do list.

Hawk on a branch

I didn't have any great photos from a trip to the park at lunchtime today and was bummed. It was a gorgeous day and hubby was grilling. As we were sitting on the deck we had a visit from a furry beauty! I believe it's a Cooper Hawk

Golden Retriever

My Golden Retriever. I love this cutie pup! She gives me so much joy!

Mitten on a branch

Was this left by one of the kittens? This lost mitten was hanging on a branch at the park near my work. Thought it would be a cute photo!

Gargoyle on building

Never seen this statue before on this restaurant in Charlottesville and it made me jump, then laugh!
