Photography Fun! {Charlottesville, Va. Photographer}
I was approached through Twitter if I was interested in judging a contest over the Christmas holiday. Through my position as editor of Charlottesville Woman magazine I had the opportunity to judge the 2011 Virginia Christmas House. This is a fun contest where people can enter their homes based on the theme and the region into the competition. A portion of the proceeds goes to charity … perfect for the holidays (truly any day).
Here’s a little blip about me on their site.
I love to decorate for the holidays. In a previous life I had 30 trees I decorated, each based on a theme. When I divorced in 2008 I downsized, a bunch, and now I have 6 medium-to-large trees and plenty of smaller ones, as well. I love to decorate! This year I plan to create a studio of sorts so that I can host holiday mini sessions for Christmas cards later this year!
I hope Virginia Christmas House is an event they’ll sponsor again this year … if I’m not a judge again (I would love to be) then perhaps I’ll enter (depending on the theme)!
It’s just a fun thing!
